  Established in 1951, Harbin Electric Machinery Company, Limited (hereinafter referred to as HEC) is a leading Chinese manufacturer and service provider of large-scale power generation equipment, renowned for its cutting-edge technology and exceptional equipment. Our primary business scope encompasses hydroelectric power, thermal power, nuclear power, gas power, pump, new energy power generation equipment etc., and associated control systems, offering our customers full lifecycle products and diverse customization services.

  HEC has developed large hydroelectric generating units that account for more than 1/2 of the total installed capacity in China, and large turbo generators that make up over 1/3 of the country's total installed capacity. The largest capacity of the hydroelectric generating units developed by HEC is 1000 MW, while the maximum capacity for turbo and nuclear power generators is 1250 MW. With an annual production capacity of 60,000 MW of power generating units, HEC's products are distributed across all provinces in China and exported to 52 countries and regions around the world.

  The headquarter of HEC covers an area of 686,000 m², with 342,000 m² of production plants (including office area) and more than 3,700 sets of various types of equipment.HEC has a wholly-owned subsidiary in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, as well as the “HEC Zhenjiang Research and Development Center” and the HEC Energy Storage Technology Innovation Industrial Base, covering an area of about 240,000 m².

  Guided by a strategy of technological leadership, HEC has achieved over 70 "firsts" in the history of power equipment manufacturing in China, making significant contributions to the development of China's power industry.

  Taking advantage of the “Belt and Road” initiative, HEC has implemented the “going global” development strategy, establishing a subsidiary in Brazil and actively exploring overseas markets. HEC has established cooperation relationships with more than 30 internationally renowned enterprises, including GE (USA), Alstom (France), ABB (Canada), Andritz (Austria), and Hitachi (Japan).
